Chandrayaan II & 50 years of Apollo-11 mission

Jyotirvidya Parisanstha club (VP-MH0090), Pune organized a series of event on the launch of Chandrayaan-II and completion of 50 years of Apollo-11 mission. The club conducted road shows on 20th July 2019 where common people were made aware of the Apollo mission, how human travelled to Moon and about the experiments conducted on the Moon during the mission. The club also organized an astronomical quiz competition based on Chandrayaan-II and Apollo-11 mission for school students. In the same series an astronomical exhibition “Explorers on moon” was held on 9-11 August, 2019 wherein students and common people learned about the space exploration programs of different countries related to Moon, and also India’s efforts to explore Moon through Chandrayaan mission with the help of charts/posters, models and audio-visual short films. Workshop on Science Experiments

C V Raman Science Club (VP-HR0006), Yamunanagar, Haryana conducted a one-day zero cost science experiment workshop at Saini Public School in Kurukshetra. In this one-day workshop, 50 course-based science activities were demonstrated to the participants, which were based on low / zero cost domestic or useless items. All the participants enthusiactically participated in the workshop

Light for People, People for Light

Cygnus club (VP-UP0164), Noida celebrated the World 2nd International day of light on 16th May 2019 by organizing a Inter school event at Cambridge School , Greater Noida. The club conducted varieties of innovative activities on the theme Light for People, People for Light to enlighten students about the benefits of light-based technologies and the role of science of light in various fields. On this occasion the students of Class VI-XIIth participated in activities like Be the Scientist- The Unsung Heroes, Exploring the Science of Light, model making on Light for Sustainable Development, Photon Terrace, Research Melody etc.

Plant Trees -Save Earth

The Curious Minds Science Club (VP-DL0105), SDMC Primary School, Subhash Nagar, New Delhi conducted a tree plantation drive on the World Environment day(on 5th June) with the noble mission of making our environment green and serene. The drive was organized under the patronage and guidance of the club coordinator, Ms Harpreet Kaur Samby and her team. The event was organized in the neighboring residential society with the motto to raise awareness and consciousness about the environment among the masses. The residents welcomed and supported the initiative wholeheartedly. The event was a huge success sensitizing the general public towards the need to preserve our environment.

World Cancer Day Celebration

Little Einstein Science Club (VP-DL0041), Delhi, enthusiastically celebrated the World cancer day on 4th February 2020 by organizing a poster to raise awareness about aware of cancer, its causes, prevention and treatment available.

Indian Milestones in Future space Technology

Sambhav Science Club (VP-HP0017), Kangra, conducted a programme on 24th January 2020 to aware students about the mission, vision and achievements of one of the prestigious organization, ISRO through models and chart demonstration.

Math Model Making Workshop

Vijnana Bindu Children’s Club (VP-KA0041), Tumakuru conducted a math model making workshop on 12th January 2020 to develop concept related to Polygons by 2D and 3D models.

COVID-19 Awareness Drive

Anveshna Science Club (VP-DL0040), Delhi, organized an interactive session on 2nd February 2020 to make students aware about Corona virus and precautions to be taken.

Last month, Chem Star Science Club (VP-MH0077), Bhiwandi, organized an innovative rangoli competition 31st January 2020 to explain students the role of chemistry to balance an ecosystem.
