Vigyan Prasar NETwork of Science Clubs

Category of Club

A system of categorization of clubs has been developed to encourage science activities in the club and keep their morale high. The highlights of the process are:

Clubs will be divided into five categories.
Categories will be represented by respective names.
Based on the frequency of reports, clubs will be promoted or downgraded to various categories.
After the review, the retained or upgraded clubs will be eligible to get appropriate facilities.
Review meeting for status change will be performed in the last week of December each year.
Demoted clubs will not get any facility for the year.

White Club Bronze Club Silver Club Gold Club Platinum Club

Each registered/re-registered club will be given a White Club membership. The proposed facilities for the white club are:

Affiliation Certificate.
Subscription to the monthly newsletter VIPNET Curiosity & Dream 2047.

A club that sends at least one report a year can be eligible for the Bronze Club status. The proposed facilities for the bronze club are:

A Pen embossed with VIPNET logo and club ID.
Identity card for Coordinator of the Club.
All activity kits of Vigyan Prasar (one copy each).

A club that sends half yearly reports is eligible for the Silver Club status. The proposed facilities for the silver club are:

All activity kits of Vigyan Prasar (one copy each).
Digital Calculator embossed with VIPNET logo and club ID.
Identity card for Coordinator of the Club.
Set of 10 DVD's or books.
Eligible to participate in National Level workshop organised by Vigyan Prasar.

A club that sends quarterly reports is eligible for the Gold Club status. The proposed facilities for the gold club are:

All activity kits of Vigyan Prasar (one copy each).
Set of 10 DVD's or books.
Eligible to participate in National Level workshop organised by Vigyan Prasar.
Pen drive embossed with VIPNET logo and Club ID.
Identity card for Coordinator of the Club.
50 kits of any one specialization to conduct science activity.

A club that sends monthly reports is eligible for the Platinum Club status. The proposed facilities for the platinum club are:

All activity kits of Vigyan Prasar (one copy each).
Set of 10 DVD's or books.
Eligible to participate in National Level workshop organised by Vigyan Prasar.
50 kits of any one specialization to conduct science activity.
White board with duster and a set of 2 markers embossed with VIPNET logo and particular club ID.
Identity card for coordinator of the club.
Eligible to get support from Vigyan Prasar for any State Level Workshop organised by the Club or can get teaching aid(s) worth Rs. 50,000/- for their club.
Eligible to participate in extensive training programmes where educational equipments in the form of assets will be developed, e.g. telescope making, weather kit etc.
